Pregnant women who use nicotine replacement products are more likely to have a baby with colic.

Nicotine patches, nicotine gum and nicotine inhalers. All products can be a welcome helping hand for smokers who want to put the cigarettes on the shelf. But for pregnant women, there may be reason to be cautious. The new research from Aarhus University and Aarhus University, which has just been published in the prestigious international scientific journal Pediatrics.

Scientists has discovered a link between nicotine replacement products and colic.

In the study, researchers examined more than 63,000 Danish women and their children who had participated in the national project Better Health for Mother and Child. Some of these women had smoked during pregnancy, others had used nicotine replacement products, and some had neither smoked or used nicotine replacement.
